In November 2019 our facility was awarded the seal of quality “Book Kindergarten at the Frankfurt Book Fair by the Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels und des deutschen Bibliotheksverband (dbv) (the German Publishers & Booksellers Association and the German Library Federation).
In our nursery early childish experience around book, recounting, rhyme and writing culture take on a particular priority. Also the development of reading and speaking is hugely important.
We want to convey joy in stories, pictures and language and with that we would like to contribute to equal opportunities (equal opportunity for all regardless of origin and social standing).
We have reached a cooperation agreement with the City Library in Werl (Stadtbücherei Werl) and go there regularly with our school children and parents.
The children's books bags are packed together with them so that the interests of the children can be addressed.
